Germany’s biggest trade union agrees 8.5% pay rise for metal and electrical workers to combat record inflation

The country's biggest union, which covers more than covers more than 2.2 million workers, said in a statement that employees will get a package including permanent pay rises and special inflation help that will be delivered in stages.
