New President to Continue Focus on Meeting the Needs of Black Children, Families, and Communities, as Well as Those Serving Them.

Keith D. Bostick, MSW, has been elected to serve as President of Black Administrators in Child Welfare (B.A.C.W.), having served previously as the Vice President. Mr. Bostick's term follows the successful tenure of Dr. Sharon McDaniel. Dr. McDaniel led BACW from its 40th year into its 51st with vision, passion, and unapologetic Black excellence. B.A.C.W. is stronger and better established as a respected leader in the child welfare and race equity spaces.

Keith D. Bostick, MSW

A native of Savannah, Georgia, Mr. Bostick has dedicated his life to improving outcomes for America's most vulnerable populations through the changing of minds, hearts, and wills of people, their, practices, and their processes. Mr. Bostick's motto is, "Families who need our help also need our hope." Reflecting upon his recent election, Mr. Bostick shared, "My mission is to continue building a legacy that exceeds the aspirations of our founders, and my vision for B.A.C.W. is to drive system transformation so that Black children and families are safe, healthy, and whole."

Mr. Bostick's nearly 40-year experience in human services includes serving in multiple leadership positions - including as the current Deputy Director of Broward County Human Services(Fort Lauderdale, FL.), the previous Deputy Division Director of Child Welfare in Georgia, the Child Welfare Director for Santa Cruz County, Santa Cruz, CA, the Deputy Commissioner at Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL), as the Director for the Office of Residential Child Care within Georgia's Department of Human Services, as Director with Casey Family Programs. In addition, Mr. Bostick currently serves as President/CEO of KDB Enterprises - serving as a national consultant in the fields of mental health, race equity, system transformation, and community engagement.

Mr. Bostick will be supported by fellow B.A.C.W. Executive Board Members, including:

1st Vice President: Yakiciwey Mitchell, DSW-C, MSW, National Child Welfare Leadership Consultant, Edifying Nations Consulting Inc.

2nd Vice President: Dr. Sherri Simmons-Horton, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work, University of New Hampshire

Treasurer: Dr. Alan-Michael Graves, Director of National Programs, the Good Plus Foundation

Secretary: Lisa Chambers, Managing Director A Second Chance Incorporated (ASCI) University, Education, FACT and National Engagement
