The Equity in Economic Development Fellowship Program launches this summer

WASHINGTON - May 25, 2022 - PRLog -- The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) is excited to announce the launch of its IEDC Equity in Economic Development Fellowship Program. Starting this month, six deserving diverse young people will serve as Fellows at economic development organizations across the country and Canada for a 10-week time span. They will gain important hands-on experience while advancing substantive and impactful projects in their communities.

"I am extremely excited about the launch of the inaugural IEDC Equity in Economic Development Fellowship Program.  Programs like this drive equity and close disparities within the profession of economic development, which will continue to be an area of focus for the IEDC," said Nathan Ohle, President & CEO of IEDC.  "Congratulations to the first class of economic development organizations and fellows!"

"I am so grateful to IEDC for helping me to bring my vision of this program to life.  I envisioned a program that would make an equitable impact within the field of economic development while positively influencing the lives of young people.
