City targeting 'strategic land acquisitions' in efforts to revitalize underserved areas of Charlotte

The city's head of economic development said yesterday that some additional land will be needed to help stabilize parts of the Corridors of Opportunity geography, including room to nurture small businesses and help with other initiatives unlikely to be funded privately.
