The announcement came while Panama was host to the Liberty Latin America Board of Directors and Management team earlier this week.

Balan Nair, President and CEO of Liberty Latin America, said, “Earlier this year we announced the creation of an Operations Center in Panama that would be vital to the future of our business. Betzalel’s operational expertise is critically important for our company as we seek to capitalize on opportunities in the markets where we operate and expand our business through disciplined M&A activity. I’m glad that Betzalel will bring his knowledge and experience to Panama as we strive to deliver value for our customers and shareholders.”

Kenigsztein will continue in his role as Chief Operating Officer working closely with local executive management teams to drive customer growth, leverage scale opportunities, and continuously enhance our customer experience.

Kenigsztein commented, “Panama is an important location for us, right at the heart of our business. I’m looking forward to living in Panama City, driving the growth of our company, and delivering value for our customers across the region.”

Kenigsztein is a proven international executive having led large operations across Latin America and Europe. Throughout his career he’s lived and worked in Israel, the Netherlands, Hungary and the United States. He was born in Argentina and is fluent in Spanish, English and Hebrew.

Liberty Latin America established its Operations Center in Panama City in July 2019 and is making progress on its commitment to hire 500 people over the next five years. Panama will be home to IT, Finance, HR and Product Development teams that will help Liberty Latin America utilize its scale and deliver value to customers across Latin America and the Caribbean.

Kenigsztein’s move is the second Liberty Latin America Executive to relocate to Panama, reaffirming a strong commitment to the country and to the region.
