Educational Webcast Shows Engineers How To Simplify Point-of-Care Patient Monitor Design Using ECG AFE

Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI), a world leader in semiconductors for high-performance signal processing applications, will broadcast its “Simplify Point-of-Care Patient Monitor Design Using ECG AFE webcast on June 15, 2011, at 12:00 pm EDT. This 45-minute webcast is the latest tutorial in a monthly educational series by Analog Devices that covers a variety of design challenges for signal processing applications.

About This Webcast

As we begin the transition into a new paradigm in healthcare, the call for higher levels of integration to reduce system size, power and cost has meant that silicon developers are now taking on some of the challenges that have traditionally fallen under the realm of the customer. This webcast will introduce an ECG (Electrocardiogram) AFE (Analog Front End) which integrates the functional blocks traditionally designed into an ECG system using discrete components, as well as respiration measurement and pace pulse detection. We will look at how this device addresses some of the main ECG design challenges including critical system level requirements.

Topics to be covered in this presentation will include but are not limited to

  • ECG System Overview
  • ECG Measurement
  • Common Mode Rejection
  • Respiration Monitoring
  • Pace Pulse Detection

Who Should Attend

Engineers and students new to the field, as well as those more experienced engineers involved in ECG and patient monitor design will find this webcast very useful.
