Sunflower Bank, N.A. Announces 2025 Community Partner Awards Nomination Period

Sunflower Bank, N.A. is proud to announce that its Community Partner Awards are continuing in 2025. Now in its third year, this annual grant program recognizes and supports outstanding organizations across the communities served by Sunflower Bank and First National 1870. From July 28 to August 22, 2025, community members can nominate local nonprofit organizations located in eligible counties in Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Texas, and Washington.

Led by the bank’s Community Affairs Office, the Community Partner Awards invite participation from bank employees, community members, and local nonprofit organizations. This year, the total amount of grant funding is increased to $90,000 and the number of awards increases to 22. Individual award amounts are between $2,000 and $15,000. Award recipients will be announced and honored with local check presentations held later this year.

To be nominated for a Sunflower Bank Community Partner Award, organizations must:

  • Demonstrate exceptional dedication to enhancing their local communities; or
  • Support one of the bank’s key focus areas: affordable housing, economic development, financial education, or community services; or
  • Help build stronger, more inclusive communities by advancing diversity, equity, and opportunity.

Nominations can be submitted by Sunflower Bank, N.A. employees or members of the public. Organizations receiving the highest number of nominations will be considered for corresponding awards. Full eligibility details and the nomination form will be available on the Sunflower Bank Community Partner Awards webpage.
