Hoy brings extensive experience in healthcare operations and organizational leadership and will lead MediTrans through its next phase of scale, technology investment, and stakeholder collaboration. His appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the NEMT landscape in Louisiana, as MediTrans works closely with providers, legislators, and state agencies to strengthen access to care and service reliability statewide.

Paul Broussard, Founder of MediTrans, will continue to play an active role in the company as Founder, supporting leadership continuity, and mission alignment. “MediTrans was built to serve Louisiana families with reliability, accountability, and care,” said Broussard. “As the organization continues to grow and invest in its people and systems, Derek is the right leader to guide MediTrans forward. The company remains focused on being a dependable partner to Managed Care Organizations, the Louisiana Department of Health, and the broader healthcare ecosystem.

“I’m honored to step into the CEO role at MediTrans during such an important time,” said Hoy. “Our focus is clear — strengthening our operations, supporting our provider partners, and ensuring Medicaid members across Louisiana have reliable access to care. We are committed to transparency, collaboration, and continued investment in the systems that support this mission.”

MediTrans is sponsored by a long-term investment partner, South Oak Capital Partners, supporting MediTrans in its statewide growth and service capabilities.

“Derek Hoy’s appointment as CEO provides clarity, continuity, and confident leadership for MediTrans at a pivotal moment in Louisiana NEMT.”
