Informatica and Oracle Strengthen Strategic Collaboration, Announce Launch of North American Point of Delivery and Enhanced Data Governance Integrations for Thousands of Joint Customers

Informatica (NYSE:INFA), an enterprise cloud data management leader, and Oracle have advanced their strategic partnership with the creation of an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) point of delivery to thousands of joint customers across North America. The two cloud leaders unveiled new integrations and capabilities for Informatica’s Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) across Oracle’s Modern Data Platform to deliver clean, secure, trusted data to empower greater AI/ML utilization and accelerate modernization journeys.

As a cloud-native, AI-powered data management platform, IDMC offers an integrated suite of best-of-breed capabilities that simplify the entire data lifecycle. It provides shared Informatica-Oracle customers with a common data management experience with a consistent governance layer across all cloud and on-premises architectures.

New Informatica Integrations and Capabilities for OCI:

  • Expansion of Data Governance with native scanners to collect metadata and profile data for quality and semantic insights:
    • Oracle Autonomous Database
    • Oracle GoldenGate
  • Private Offers on Oracle Cloud Marketplace—allows Oracle customers to use their Oracle Universal Cloud Credits towards a subscription of IDMC through the Oracle Cloud Marketplace.

IDMC also supports Oracle Compute Cloud@Customer, enabling IDMC to manage data within customer data centers without data leaving the customer’s Cloud@Customer environment – providing data protection and faster data processing. The updates were shared at Oracle CloudWorld 2023, Oracle’s flagship global customer conference currently underway in Las Vegas.

“Informatica is a long-time member of the Oracle Database ecosystem on-premises and now on OCI,” said Andy Mendelsohn, Executive Vice President of Database Server Technologies at Oracle. “The combined capabilities of IDMC on OCI and Oracle Autonomous Database are compelling. We look forward to Informatica using its vast modernization expertise to efficiently migrate their PowerCenter customers to the cloud and help our mutual customers accelerate their journey to OCI.”

“We’ve been a preferred partner with Oracle for enterprise cloud data integration and governance for its Modern Data Platform, and it’s rewarding to see us not only reach milestones together but continue to deepen our collaboration for the benefit of our joint customers,” said Jitesh Ghai, Chief Product Officer at Informatica. “Cloud migration does not exist without secure, reliable data. We’re incredibly proud to fill this role for our customers as they look to transition to OCI and become truly data-driven organizations.”

“We’ve relied on Informatica and Oracle solutions for years and as we grow our business, we are committed to investing in cloud-first strategies and solutions,” said Lee Rosenfeld, ETL Integration Architect at McGraw-Hill. “Despite our distributed data landscape, the transition to IDMC and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure has been remarkably seamless, with thousands of assets already migrated. Both partners have been essential to this success—we simply couldn’t have done it without their support, expertise, and guidance.”
