Gannett’s staff reductions, asset sales take toll on Boston-area newspapers

The newspaper chain's aggressive cost-cutting measures have including buyouts at several of its papers in the Boston area, including the Taunton Gazette and the Brockton Enterprise, as well as the sale of a building.
