Spring Branch Independent School District (SBISD) receives free school supplies to start the year

HOUSTON, TX, July 15, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Because so many teachers nationwide have to pay for school supplies out of their own pockets, the Terry Bryant Law Firm is purchasing thousands of pencils to give away in August to students and teachers as they begin the new school year.

Anyone in the Spring Branch Independent School District (SBISD) is eligible to receive the free pencils, and it's easy to sign up for the giveaway.

"We felt like this was one burden we could lift as the kids return to the classroom, whether in person or virtually," said attorney Terry Bryant. "With so much uncertainty in the world right now, we wanted these students and teachers to be able to count on having the school supplies they need."

Free pencils will be distributed Friday August 7, 2020 from 10 am until 2 pm and again on Friday August 14, 2020 from 10 am until 2 pm, from our office at 8584 Katy Freeway, Suite 100 (exit I-10 and Bingle). Students and parents can pick up individual supplies, and teachers can pick up larger packages for entire classrooms.

"To be ready to learn, students need writing utensils to take notes, draw, and fill out quizzes," Bryant said. "Because of social distancing, some parents may not have the chance to go to the store and buy supplies. Our law firm can help with that. We want every child to get a fresh start at school this year. We also want to celebrate teachers and the outstanding work they do."
