Ingersoll Rand Reports Results of Voting from Extraordinary General Meeting and Declares Quarterly Dividend

Ingersoll-Rand plc (NYSE:IR), a world leader in creating comfortable, sustainable and efficient environments, held an Extraordinary General Meeting of shareholders in Dublin, Ireland to approve the change of name of Ingersoll-Rand plc to Trane Technologies plc.

At the meeting, shareholders approved the change of name. The company will officially change its name on a date to be determined by the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of the company. The company currently expects the change of name to occur in connection with the closing of its Reverse Morris Trust Transaction with Gardner Denver Holdings, Inc.

The company’s Board of Directors also declared a quarterly dividend of $0.53 cents per ordinary share, payable March 31, 2020, to shareholders of record on March 13, 2020. Ingersoll Rand has paid consecutive quarterly cash dividends on its common shares since 1919 and annual dividends since 1910.
