Duke Energy's Asheville natural gas plant fired up for final tests

The plant, which will replace a coal plant at the site, is part of Duke Energy's $1.1 billion Western Modernization Project that also includes transmission and distribution grid upgrades, two small solar installations and two storage-battery operations in the region.
