U.S. trade deficit sinks 15% at start of 2019 as China tensions disrupt flow of goods

The trade deficit sank almost 15% in January to a five-month low, largely reflecting a surge in soybean exports, falling oil prices and lower imports from China due to disruptions cause by U.S. tariffs. The deficit tumbled to $51.1 billion.
