Burlington Emergency & Veterinary Specialists Breaks Ground on New State of the Art 24/7 Animal Hospital

On Wednesday, May 16, 2018, under a sunny sky on a lovely spring morning, the leadership team of Burlington Emergency & Veterinary Specialists (BEVS) along with local VIPs and guests, helped officially break ground on a new state-of-the-art 24/7 emergency and specialty animal hospital set to open in February 2019.

BEVS is the only 24/7 veterinary emergency and specialty hospital in Vermont. The new facility will be located at 1417 Marshall Avenue in Williston, VT. Like the current location at 200 Commerce Street, BEVS will offer round-the-clock emergency and critical care services, and advanced care in surgery, internal medicine, oncology, among others by board-certified veterinary specialists. The ultramodern hospital will be over 17,000 square feet with 13 exam rooms, an intensive care unit (ICU), three high-tech surgery suites with fluoroscopy, CT and MRI units, a physical rehabilitation center, and 60+ experienced, and compassionate team members.

“This is a great day for BEVS and one we have been looking forward to for a long time,” said Bryan Harnett, DVM, DACVIM, BEVS Owner and Medical Director. “We are convinced with better accessibility, room to grow, and the vision to improve and expand our services, our clients and patients will have the best experiences and outcomes possible.”

Remarks and well wishes were provided by local dignitaries including Elizabeth Morris, a representative from the office of Congressman Peter Welch, Terence D. Macaig, State Representative and member of the Williston Select Board, and Terry Pomerleau of the Humane Society of Chittenden County.
