Energizer Holdings Inc. (NYSE: ENR) will pay approximately $2 billion to acquire the battery and portable lighting business of Spectrum Brands Holdings Inc. (NYSE: SPB). Shares of Energizer Holdings leaped $7.49 to close at $59.11 while Spectrum Brands stock soared $4.75 to close at $125.23.
