A student of ExcellenceinEducation.org.uk (EIE program) who attended an inner-city school becomes one of the first set of graduands from the University of Oxford under the leadership of the first female VC. Miss Omotola Akerele received her Master of Arts degree from Professor Louise Richardson at the Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford in the presence Professor Chris Imafidon, Chair of the ExcellenceinEducation.org.uk program, and other dignitaries.
OXFORD, U.K. - June 5, 2016 - PRLog -- EIE program student, Miss Omotola Akerele, who welcomed First Lady Michelle Obama to Oxford and is the first person in her family to go to University, will graduate with a Master's Degree from Oxford University today.

Omotola was a student of the Excellence in Education programme when she received an offer to study at the prestigious Magdalen College, and will graduate at the first ever ceremony conducted by the new Vice-Chancellor Professor Louise Richardson.

Akerele, who became Head of Access Outreach at Magdalen College, will join thousands of students at the University of Oxford to receive notification of their degrees.

Omotola said that her experience in Oxford "was very enjoyable and student life in Oxford proved that there is nothing to scare any inner-city child of any age."

EIE Chairman Chris Imafidon (@ProfChrisImafidon, @EIEProgramme) said, "What is taught in the traditional classroom is evidently failing to bring the best out of any child. The disgraceful and embarrassing position of our children's performance in every major league table and international comparisons is enough reason for us to be serious about implementing policies that will lead to actualisation of the fact that every child is a genius and there are millions of Omotolas that are being failed by the system, when EIE has already demonstrated the panacea to this endemic problem."

"Omotola is one more evidence that with EIE's inspiration and discoveries every inner-city child regardless of gender, class, creed, postcode, location or any other factors can comfortably make it to Oxford, Cambridge, Yale or Harvard and thrive or flourish for the good of the whole society."
