2nd Annual ACCHL Stephen Russell Memorial Tournament Starts Friday in Raleigh, NC

The ACCHL Stephen Russell Memorial Tournament will take place this weekend, October 9-11, 2015 in Raleigh, NC. With 14 college club teams participating, the tournament promises to be an exciting weekend of hockey.
RALEIGH, N.C. - Oct. 7, 2015 - PRLog -- The Stephen Russell Memorial Tournament to kick off the Atlantic Coast Conference Hockey League (ACCHL) season will take place this weekend, October 9-11, 2015 in Raleigh, NC.  Jointly coordinated by Stephen’s family, the ACCHL and North Carolina State University Hockey Club, a full weekend of activities has been planned, with tournament play starting on Friday.

“Our family is once again overwhelmed by the support and generosity of so many people and organizations who have come together to make this happen,” said Kelly Buckley, Stephen’s Mother. “The spirit around this weekend truly represents everything Stephen was about and his passionate love of hockey.”

The tournament has grown significantly and has drawn overwhelming support from the North Carolina hockey community.  In addition to their home opener this weekend, the Carolina Hurricanes will be getting behind the ACCHL student skills competition and All-Star game on Saturday morning, while the Raleigh Vets will showcase sled hockey skills and competition at 1:00 pm.
