Appian, an innovative global provider of business process management (BPM) technology, today announced Brian Pettit, a proven leader in customer acquisition and account management, has joined the company as its new Vice President of Sales. In this role, Pettit is responsible for directing global sales and business development operations for Appian’s Business Process Management (BPM) solutions.

As a veteran of information technology enabling business transformation and process improvement, Mr. Pettit’s experience included leading sales and alliances at HandySoft, where he accelerated customer and partner development. He also served as the director of integration solution sales at NetManage and was responsible for directing North American sales and business development operations and developing key partnerships. Prior to NetManage, Mr. Pettit was the vice president of business development at Comensura, a division of Corporate Services Group, and provided sales, marketing and partner alliance leadership tasks for customer expansion and acquisitions.
