Clinical imagery software developer, CarePICS, LLC invited to present at industry leading symposium

By: PRLog
PRLog - Sep. 4, 2014 - RALEIGH, N.C. -- Clinical imagery software company CarePICS, LLC announced today that they had been selected to present at the upcoming Business of Wound Care (http://businessofwoundcare.com) this Fall in Las Vegas. CarePICS® is a remote clinical imagery system that allows the secure transmission of voice, text, and images for virtual treatment sessions between clinicians through most smart phone devices.

HMP Communications, LLC has partnered with the Kirchner Group for this initiative that provides information, education, and networking support for entrepreneurs, scientists, and investors within wound and diabetes care. The Business of Wound Care is a one-day meeting co-located with the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care Fall (SAWC Fall) program on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV. The criteria for selection included relevant wound and diabetes care technologies, services or software that would be considered leading edge innovations within this sector.

In accepting the invitation CarePICS president Terry Williams commented, "Our senior management team has over 75 years cumulative medical device experience. We observe in everyday medical practice clinicians utilizing tools such as a stethoscope, a blood pressure cuff or a thermometer to assess the physical well being of their patient. This data is readily shared between care givers when collaborating on the best regimen of treatment. Here at CarePICS we have designed a patient encounter tool that we expect to join the ranks of these devices in every clinical practice. Our concern is that the vast amount of electronic record systems are directed at an "acquire and store" format rather than "acquire and share". We look forward to presenting our platform at the forthcoming business forum to demonstrate to the industry we are a differentiator technology".
