COMEDIAN’S STREETBALL: GAME OVER MOVIE MORE THAN JUST FUN AND GAMES

PRLog - Jun 17, 2013 - RALEIGH, N.C. -- Darryl Hutchins, known as Comedian D’Lo, from Raleigh, North Carolina, by way of Leeds, Alabama, has made his transition from comedian to promoter and screenwriter.  Playing an intricate part in bringing one of the largest comedy shows to the Triad area, he now takes it to the turfs of Hollywood with his debut of  “Streetball: Game Over” the movie.  D’Lo Hutchins manages to bring the same humor from the stage to the camera.

STREETBALL: GAME OVER movie is a modern day sports drama/comedy about a basketball player, Clifton Lyons, who is betrayed by a trusted friend that uses a childhood tragedy against him which causes him to attack the team’s owner Mayor Gary Livingston (Stephen Baldwin).  Clifton loses his contract with the team and is forced to move back to his old neighborhood.  After highway construction forces Mayor Livingston to detour into the poor, inner-city neighborhood, he stumbles across Clifton Lyons and old hatred between the two is rekindled. Clifton is now forced to fight the inner demons of that childhood tragedy and an old boss who is obsessed with destroying him.

STREETBALL: GAME OVER movie also highlights Lupus and the affects it has on family.  Juanita Moore, mother of streetballer Andre Moore, has to make lifestyle changes after finding out she has Lupus.  Struggling with household and staggering medical bills,  Andre is forced to drop out of college and find work to help keep his family afloat.

The movie has snagged letter of interests from Stephen Baldwin (The Usual Suspects, The Young Riders), J. Anthony Brown (Drumline, Think Like a Man, Madea Goes To Jail) and Olivia Longott (VH1-Love and Hip-Hop New York). Streetball will also feature retired NBA players and some of the top street ball players in the world. This all-star cast is sure to leave you on the edge of your seat in this high intensity action packed movie.

“After reading the script and seeing that it also highlighted Lupus, I was happy to jump on the project.  This movie will definitely satisfy moviegoers” says movie producer and casting director, M.L. Davis (I Got the Hook Up, Foolish).
