Bopping Heads Entertainment Wins International Franchise Award

The International Franchise Show presents Bopping Heads Entertainment with the Best Franchise 2012 Award.

This year, the International Franchise Show opened with a wider and greater array of innovative businesses which were developed with a combination of out-of-the-box thinking and technological prowess. With over 200 businesses being previewed in 26 different cities, the winner of this year’s Best Franchise award was quite obvious judging by all the hoopla coming from the winner’s exhibit location.

At any given time there were probably about 1,500 - 2,000 people on the exhibition floor at all times, but it seemed like the large majority were camped in front of this year’s winner, Bopping Heads Entertainment . Billed as a green screen video entertainment company, Bopping Heads is truly innovative, absolutely hysterical, and most definitely viral.

Turning down row 3, I saw a large crowd gathered in the middle of the aisle. At first pass, I could not get close enough to see exactly what was going on except for what I could see on the TV monitors. I decided I would re-visit this business later when the crowd thinned-out.

In the interim, I got to see the usual suspects, Little Caesars, Dairy Queen, Roto-Rooter, UPS store, Minuteman Press, Game Stop and many other of the A listers along with some new copycats, Freshslice Pizza, CoolTreats, Valu-Rooter and the Game Dudes. Probably about 99% of the show was redundant as the Franchise industry seemed to have run out of new ideas and always repeats what is hot.

Then there were the other 1%. The innovative, the new, the needed and the most loved. I finally returned to row 3 to re-visit the Bopping Heads exhibit. With only 30-minutes remaining until the doors closed, the show’s attendance had dwindled. That is with the exception of what was going on at the Bopping Heads booth. There were still many people waiting (at least 3 rows deep) to have a video done.

Now this may not seem like much, but the entertainment value here is tremendous. My daughter, who accompanied me had seen this before at a flea market in Long Island, NY and told me that the popularity was much the same and that if you wanted to have a video done, you would have to wait in line for up to an hour at times. I was unable to even speak to anyone within the company, as they were too busy with others. I did make a call to their corporate offices the following week so I could finish up this report.

“Bopping Heads specializes in placing a person’s head on top of an animated and dancing body, then placing it on digital media such as a DVD so that the person could take it home and share with family and friends for years to come,” said Keith Jowski, a company representative. The company has 151 locations on 5 different continents. “We get all types of people wanting to purchase a system, but the one thing they mostly have in common is that they are looking for a ready-to-go and affordable business which gives them the flexibility of not having to be in an office every day while earning more in a couple of days that the average executive would make in a couple of weeks.”

Bopping Heads Entertainment has 2 corporate locations in New Jersey and Florida, and also manufactures other amusement related systems. The International Franchise Show opens its first of the 26 city 2012/2013 tour in Seattle Washington in September.
