Illinois-based Packer’s Pine, which manufacturers pine-tar based soap and hair care products, has increased its warehouse and office space to keep pace with surging sales
(PRUnderground) September 19th, 2023
For those who appreciate nature-based personal hygiene products with a rugged, outdoor scent, Packer’s Pine offers soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner made from pine tar. After an increase in sales supersized their operational needs, the company relocated their offices and warehouse to a large, state-of-the art warehouse in Libertyville, Illinois.
Packer’s Pine was previously located in Vernon Hills, Illinois, but when their natural soap product sales increased to the tune of a 50% year-over-year revenue increase, they moved to the larger Libertyville location with an eye to future growth.
The space, known as Warespace, is subdivided for different tenants, who share dock space, offices, forklifts, pallet jacks, a café, gym, and recreation room.
“We’re thrilled with the huge growth our company has experienced in the past year thanks to our loyal customers,” said David Zelken, Packer’s Pine President. “Our new space provides a comfortable, up-and-coming environment for all of our employees and allows us to expand our business and increase our efficiency.”
While demand for the company’s original product, pine tar soap, continues to grow, a healthy portion of the company’s recent gains have come from two new, high-demand products: body wash and hair conditioner (to accompany the company’s previously released pine tar shampoo).
As consumers prioritize clean, natural ingredients for their personal care regimen, Packer’s Pine offers sulfate-free, paraben-free products. Their premier ingredient, pine tar, is a by-product of distilled, carbonized pine wood and has been used for 2,000 years for its antiseptic properties as well as its ability to soothe skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and dandruff. The pine tar bar soap is well-loved by many consumers as a natural mosquito repellent and was even recognized by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers as their insect repellent of choice in the lead-up to WWII.
The company’s new warehouse space allows them to handle all product preparation for Fulfillment by Amazon orders, as well as start-to-finish fulfillment for all other orders, in-house.
“We knew we would grow, but we didn’t expect the huge increase in demand for our products that we have seen this past year, ” said Zelken. “We are excited to continue growing and serving more customers, and we know our new Libertyville location is the right place for this to happen.”
