The Irvine Dream Run sponsored by American Lending Center Holdings Inc., (ALC) and Sunstone Investment Group is back for another year at the Great Park in Irvine. Dream Run day is Saturday, May 9.

This is the third year for the 5K and 3K, which celebrates the entrepreneurial community in and around Irvine. More than 1,000 runners are expected to participate this year, and signups have already begun.

Organizers see the Irvine Dream Run as an opportunity to build community around an emphasis on health and wellness. That concept is an important theme for Sunstone and ALC this year.

The 5K will start at 7:30 a.m. at the Great Park, near the giant orange Great Park Balloon. The family-friendly 3K follows, and a finish line festival with exhibits, music, food trucks, a bounce house and more will continue for most of the morning.
