Naturopathic Physician and NYU professor Joins Pioneering Foundational Health Company

In this role, Dr. Esposito will focus on research and innovation to help Athletic Greens better serve its customers, develop new products, and drive the continuous improvement cycle for the company’s flagship product, AG1. Currently on its 52nd iteration, AG1 is continuously improved through formulation updates based on the most up-to-date scientific and nutritional research and ongoing ingredient quality improvements.

In addition to his role as Head of Nutrition, Dr. Esposito serves with Drs. Peter Attia and Andrew Huberman, and other nutrition experts, on the company’s Scientific Advisory Council. The expansion of the Scientific Advisory Council arrives at a moment when the health and wellness leader recently announced a strategic fund round of $115 million led by Alpha Wave Ventures and grew their subscriber base 275% YoY in 2021.

Dr. Esposito had previously served as an advisor to Athletic Greens for two years while maintaining a private practice and holding an adjunct professor position at New York University’s Steinhardt School of Education Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics program, where he lectures on integrative medicine. As a certified Functional Medicine doctor, he has authored medical textbook chapters in The Textbook of Natural Medicine and Healing in Urology, and is published in The Canadian Journal of Urology on Vitamin D and BPH.
