In Lanshan District, Linyi City, the tourist area of Shuiyun Langya welcomes visitors with the reopening of the “Night Painting Langya” boat tour, dancing robots reminiscent of the Spring Festival Gala, interactive games with silver tickets, and a dazzling drone light show lighting up the night sky. During the Spring Festival, the area is adorned with red lanterns and bustling with tourists, where traditional customs blend with modern experiences, creating a festive atmosphere everywhere.

Lanshan District is focused on the theme “Winter Enjoyment in Yimeng for the New Year,” emphasizing “cultural and tourism integration, shared experiences.” Major scenic spots, commercial districts, and cultural exhibition venues are collaborating to create a vibrant shopping and cultural scene for the New Year. The Lighted Lanshan: New Langya features traditional palace lanterns and couplets, and hosts a “Spring Festival Celebration” cultural exhibition. The Wang Xizhi Former Residence builds an immersive night tour experience using diverse technologies, creating a boundary-less cultural and tourism experience space. Locations like Yizhouli offer markets, performances, and temple fairs to enrich the experience of folk culture.
“The market is full of New Year’s flavor, where you can watch intangible cultural heritage performances, buy Linyi cultural products, and let children experience imprinting firsthand, feeling the charm of folk culture up close,” said citizen Liu Wei at the second Traditional Folk Culture Market on Yingque Street in the Military Culture Park.

The market, themed “Han Street Treasures: Joyful New Spring,” features four special areas: New Year delicacies, intangible cultural heritage, cultural collectibles, and calligraphy blessings, with over 150 stalls divided into two phases — the first from February 7 to 11, and the second from February 19 to 23. It combines food, fun, and shopping, allowing citizens to enjoy traditional New Year festivities in a lively atmosphere.
From February 13 to March 8, the immersive night tour project “Dreaming Back to Xizhi” will be spectacularly performed at the Wang Xizhi Former Residence. Based on the literary heritage of the Sage of Calligraphy, the project integrates live performances, interactive gatherings, light shows, lantern blessings, and traditional games, vividly recreating the elegance of the Wei and Jin dynasties.

“‘Dreaming Back to Xizhi’ is a new exploration of cultural and tourism integration in Linyi, aiming to transform visitors from passive observers to active participants, immersively experiencing the charm of calligraphy culture and the elegance of the Wei and Jin era,” said Xue Juntang, director of the Wang Xizhi Former Residence Protection Center.
During the Spring Festival, Lanshan District will continue to deepen cultural and tourism integration, optimize consumer offerings, enhance the Shuiyun Langya brand, create diverse performances, activate winter sports resources, organize large-scale cultural activities featuring intangible heritage, and host folk events such as yangge gatherings and village celebrations. The district will also launch discounts at scenic spots and new boat experiences, providing a joyful and festive atmosphere for citizens and tourists to enjoy a happy, peaceful, and celebratory New Year.
