On December 13, 2005, Seitel issued a press release announcing that on December 13, 2005 it commenced a solicitation of consents from the holders of record as of December 12, 2005 of its 11 3/4% senior notes due 2011. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1, which is incorporated herein by reference.
