Item 8.01  Other Events

Home Federal Bancorp, Inc. (“Company”) announced on February 13, 2009 that the Company’s Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.055 per share on the Company’s outstanding shares of common stock.  The dividend will be payable on March 13, 2009 to shareholders of record at the close of business on February 27, 2009.  The press release announcing the dividend is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.
