Item 12. Results of Operation and Financial Condition
On February 24, 2004, EMC Insurance Group Inc. issued a press release
reporting its earnings for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2003.
The press release also announced the declaration of a dividend of $0.15 per
share of common stock payable March 12, 2004 to shareholders of record as of
March 5, 2004. The press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1.
