Results of Operations and Financial Condition

On July 15, 2008, TrustCo Bank Corp NY (“TrustCo”) issued a press release with year to date and second quarter results for the period ending June 30, 2008. The column heading for the middle column on Page 11 of the original release was inadvertently labeled “03/31/07” and should have read “03/31/08.”  The numbers in the column were the correct numbers for the 03/31/08 quarter.  No other changes have been made in this release. Attached is a copy of the press release labeled as Exhibit 99(a).
